Reading Empowers need volunteers who enjoy working with children and believe in our cause. If you are interested, please fill out the online application at the link below.
Please be advised that for the safety of the students and other volunteers participating in our reading programs, all new volunteers will be required to undergo a background check. In addition, all volunteers will be fully prepared to work with the students through an orientation prior to their first session.

An estimated 42 percent of children in the United States live in low-income households. The majority of these children do not have age-appropriate reading materials at home and cannot afford to buy books at retail prices. Any donation is highly appreciated.
